Non-Perfectionistic Blog

I have been told not to hold off blogging any longer due to perfectionistic tendencies, so here you all go. I never did like this kind of disjointed poetry - probably 'cause I'm not too good at it - but I had it laying around for quite a while, and it was on hand.

Now I'll feel like a louse for not coming up with something specifically for you guys. ;)

Kiss the sun, alight upon stars
Dance weightless steps on a weightless terrace
Bathe in the warmth, come alive in life
What we expect, what we imagine,
We anticipate, we delight in,
The Way of Christ appears to promise.

Roll up the sleeves, dive deep in the mud
Search for priceless pearls fallen into the mire
Following the Light, the Source of the shine
A path for oppression
That unclean find redemption
Numb from the cold, yet consumed by the Fire

Feel the cut, become bloody and bruised
Dodge good intentions that swarm like hail
Shameful intents like showers of steel
Kiss the grass, darkening sight
Get picked up, run back to the fight
Provide the fall with an inability to fail

Enter in doubt, murky waters swim
Barbs fall thick about one pierced by his own
Hear the echoes of a Paradise not far gone
Strive to gain; turned, but not by the try
Spin like the earth, open face to the sky
Dash the muck from your eyes, washed by rain unknown

Kiss the Son, alight upon stars
Dance weightless steps on a weightless terrace
Bathe in the warmth, come alive in Life
What we expected, what we imagined,
We anticipated, we delighted in,
The Way of Christ fulfills the promise
